About braces (orthodontics)
Braces use small brackets bonded to the teeth and a thin wire to move them gradually into line. They can correct crowding, gaps and bite problems that aligners sometimes cannot, and they work around the clock without you having to remember anything.

Do braces hurt?
Teeth feel tender for a few days after fitting and after each adjustment. Soft food and ordinary painkillers help, and the discomfort settles quickly.
Braces or clear aligners — which is better for me?
Braces suit complex movements and people who would rather not manage removable trays. Aligners are nearly invisible but need wearing 22 hours a day. We show you both.
What can't I eat with braces?
